VQ Construction Supports City Building Glasgow Charity Work

VQ Construction prides itself on not just the projects we complete and the happy clients that we have but also helping to raise money that benefits the local community. While we love to organise our own charity events, which you can view on our News page, we also enjoy attending events organised by others to help raise funds for charity. Recently, we supported a golf day organised by our friends at City Building Glasgow which managed to raise £18,000 for charity!

Last week, City Building Glasgow presented cheques to two charities close to the company’s heart, after raising a phenomenal £18,000 during their organised golf day. VQ Construction helped to support this golf day and we are extremely proud of our involvement.

One cheque of £10,000 was presented to Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland, who do an extraordinary job providing a lifetime commitment of support and information to all of those affected by the condition. Another cheque of £8,000 was also presented to Cash for Kids, who respond to the needs of children in the local community to help them live life to the full and realise their individual potential. This is part of the City Building Glasgow community engagement programme which allows the firm the give something back to the city!

The money donated by the organisation, alongside the Lord Provost’s office, will help to change the lives of many in Glasgow as every penny goes directly to the charities.

VQ Construction’s Commercial Director, Ian White, attended the event on behalf of VQ Construction and said: “We are delighted to support City Building Glasgow in their charitable endeavours and hope that the money raised will continue to support these charities in the fantastic work that they do.”
