VQ Construction Raise Money for Beatson

The cancer charity, Beatson, is very close to VQ Construction’s hearts. This charity does fantastic work helping to cure those with cancer and their services are offered to 60% of the Scottish population.

We like to do our bit for the community and this year we took a team to the Beatson golf event to help raise money for this fantastic charity. This golfing event took place at the Renaissance in East Lothian and everyone in the team had a great day, not to mention lots of money was raised for the charity!

There was one very special guest in attendance for the big day – the ex-England captain and subsequent manager, Kevin Keegan. To raise extra funds for the charity, VQ Construction bought one of three England shirts which were brought along by the special guest himself. As we were a successful bidder, we could have Kevin Keegan write anything we wanted on the football shirt. Kevin Keegan was the captain of the English football team back in the 70s when there was an extremely fierce rivalry between Scotland and England and Kevin Keegan even scored a goal against Scotland himself in 1979! As the winning bidder of one of the three football shirts, we were extremely tempted to ask him to write ‘I Love Scotland’ on it. However, we decided to let him off with a written good luck message to VQ Construction instead.

As you can see, our Managing Director Tommy Easton had a great time having his picture taken with Kevin Keegan!

When VQ Construction is not supporting local charities, we are hard at work delivering value and quality in construction. If you would like to know more about the services we provide and what we can do for you, please do not hesitate to contact us by email at info.vqc.uk.com or call us on 0141 620 3330.
